We want you if you’re:
Experimental: You would rather test than debate.
Commercial: Clever is useless unless something moves.
Unreasonably curious: You ask questions other people forgot were questions.
The Why
Most companies spend enormous amounts of money trying to create enormous outcomes.
We’d rather find the tiny lever.
TLDR
The job: Find small experiments capable of producing disproportionate commercial impact.
Location: You can work from anywhere, but you must work Pacific Time.
Culture: High ownership, high intensity.
PhD dropouts: Welcome.
Engineering dropouts: Also welcome.
Rory Sutherland fans: Please mention this.
Structure: Full-time employee and full-time contractor applications welcome.
What you’ll do
Design fast, cheap experiments across product, sales, marketing, pricing, customer experience, and operations.
Find places where human behavior violates the obvious spreadsheet answer.
Test them.
Use technical skills when the experiment requires building.
Use psychology when technology is irrelevant.
Kill experiments quickly when they aren’t working.
Scale the strange ones that do.
Your job: Find $1 experiments capable of producing $100 outcomes.
We want you if you’re
Technical but not trapped by technology: You can build, but you don’t assume software is always the answer.
Commercial but unconventional: You care whether something makes money, but you’re willing to get there strangely.
Scientific but pragmatic: You like evidence more than opinions.
Intellectual range + speed + commercial curiosity will win you this job.
Please do NOT apply if you
Need statistical perfection before trying something.
Think experiments belong exclusively in product.
Love innovation theater.
Have never changed your mind because reality disagreed with your model.
If this sounds like you, let’s talk ASAP.
